           Soonafter“Uncle’s”reappearancethedoorwasopened,evidentlyfromthesoundbyabarefootedgirl,andastout,rosy,good-lookingwomanofaboutforty,withadoublechinandfullredlips,enteredcarryingalargeloadedtray.Withhospitabledignityandcordialityinherglanceandineverymotion,shelookedatthevisitorsand,withapleasantsmile,bowedrespectfully.
