           OnSundaymorningMáryaDmítrievnainvitedhervisitorstoMassatherparishchurch—theChurchoftheAssumptionbuiltoverthegravesofvictimsoftheplague.

           Aftershehadgone,adressmakerfromMadameSuppert-RoguetwaitedontheRostóvs,andNatásha,verygladofthisdiversion,havingshutherselfintoaroomadjoiningthedrawingroom,occupiedherselftryingonthenewdresses.
