           “Onlyforafortnight.I’veagreatdealtodoinMoscow.”

           Atthesewordsthebrothers’eyesmet,andLevin,inspiteofthedesirehealwayshad,strongerthaneverjustnow,tobeonaffectionateandstillmoreopentermswithhisbrother,feltanawkwardnessinlookingathim.
