           “Iamdelighted!”Heheardsuddenlynearhimavoice,unmistakablyaddressinghim,thevoiceoftheverywomanhehadbeenadmiringintheportrait.Annahadcomefrombehindthetreillagetomeethim,andLevinsawinthedimlightofthestudytheverywomanoftheportrait,inadarkblueshotgown,notinthesamepositionnorwiththesameexpression,butwiththesameperfectionofbeautywhichtheartisthadcaughtintheportrait
