           Everyinstantseemedanagewhilstwewaited. Thewindcamenowinfiercebursts,andthesnowwasdrivenwithfuryasitsweptuponusincirclingeddies. Attimeswecouldnotseeanarm’slengthbeforeus. Butatothers,asthehollowsoundingwindsweptbyus,itseemedtocleartheairspacearoundussothatwecouldseeafaroff. Wehadoflatebeensoaccustomedtowatchforsunriseandsunset,thatweknewwithfairaccuracywhenitwouldbe. Andweknewthatbeforelongthesunwouldset.
