ThefriendsofHoratioFizkin,Esquire,havinghadtheirinnings,alittlecholeric,pink-facedmanstoodforwardtoproposeanotherfitandproperpersontorepresenttheelectorsofEatanswillinParliament;andveryswimminglythepink-facedgentlemanwouldhavegoton,ifhehadnotbeenrathertoocholerictoentertainasufficientperceptionofthefunofthecrowd.Butafteraveryfewsentencesoffigurativeeloquence,thepink-facedgentlemangotfromdenouncingthosewhointerruptedhiminthemob,toexchangingdefianceswiththegentlemenonthehustings;whereuponaroseanuproarwhichreducedhimtothenecessityofexpressinghisfeelingsbyseriouspantomime,whichhedid,andthenleftthestagetohisseconder,whodeliveredawrittenspeechofhalfanhour’slength,andwouldn’tbestopped,becausehehadsentitalltotheEatanswillGAZETTE,andtheEatanswillGAZETTEhadalreadyprintedit,everyword.
