           ‘Surely,’repliedMr.Pickwick.

           ‘Thankyou,Sir,’saidMary,trippingtowardsthedooragain.

           ‘Samhasnotbeenherelong,hashe?’inquiredMr.Pickwick.

           ‘Oh,no,Sir,’repliedMaryeagerly.‘Hehasonlyjustcomehome.Heisnotgoingtoaskyouforanymoreleave,Sir,hesays.’
