ThenHoratioFizkin,Esquire,ofFizkinLodge,nearEatanswill,presentedhimselfforthepurposeofaddressingtheelectors;whichhenosoonerdid,thanthebandemployedbytheHonourableSamuelSlumkey,commencedperformingwithapowertowhichtheirstrengthinthemorningwasatrifle;inreturnforwhich,theBuffcrowdbelabouredtheheadsandshouldersoftheBluecrowd;onwhichtheBluecrowdendeavouredtodispossessthemselvesoftheirveryunpleasantneighbourstheBuffcrowd;andasceneofstruggling,andpushing,andfighting,succeeded,towhichwecannomoredojusticethanthemayorcould,althoughheissuedimperativeorderstotwelveconstablestoseizetheringleaders,whomightamountinnumbertotwohundredandfifty,orthereabouts.Atalltheseencounters,HoratioFizkin,Esquire,ofFizkinLodge,andhisfriends,waxedfierceandfurious;untilatlastHoratioFizkin,Esquire,ofFizkinLodge,beggedtoaskhisopponent,theHonourableSamuelSlumkey,ofSlumkeyHall,whetherthatbandplayedbyhisconsent;whichquestiontheHonourableSamuelSlumkeydecliningtoanswer,HoratioFizkin,Esquire,ofFizkinLodge,shookhisfistinthecountenanceoftheHonourableSamuelSlumkey,ofSlumkeyHall;uponwhichtheHonourableSamuelSlumkey,hisbloodbeingup,defiedHoratioFizkin,Esquire,tomortalcombat.
