           ‘Aye,aye,I’lllisten,’returnedtheoldman,stillwithoutlookingather;‘aprettyvoice.Ithasalwaysasweetsoundtome.Italwayshadwhenitwashermother’s,poorchild.’

           ‘Letmepersuadeyou,thenoh,doletmepersuadeyou,’saidthechild,‘tothinknomoreofgainsorlosses,andtotrynofortunebutthefortunewepursuetogether.’
