           Frommanydreamsoframblingthroughlightandsunnyplaces,butwithsomevagueobjectunattainedwhichranindistinctlythroughthemall,sheawoketofindthatitwasyetnight,andthatthestarswereshiningbrightlyinthesky.Atlength,thedaybegantoglimmer,andthestarstogrowpaleanddim.Assoonasshewassureofthis,shearose,anddressedherselfforthejourney.

           Theoldmanwasyetasleep,andasshewasunwillingtodisturbhim,shelefthimtoslumberon,untilthesunrose.Hewasanxiousthattheyshouldleavethehousewithoutaminute’slossoftime,andwassoonready.
