           Mariannerosethenextmorningwithrecoveredspiritsandhappylooks.Thedisappointmentoftheeveningbeforeseemedforgottenintheexpectationofwhatwastohappenthatday.TheyhadnotlongfinishedtheirbreakfastbeforeMrs.Palmer’sbarouchestoppedatthedoor,andinafewminutesshecamelaughingintotheroom:sodelightedtoseethemall,thatitwashardtosaywhethershereceivedmostpleasurefrommeetinghermotherortheMissDashwoodsagain.Sosurprisedattheircomingtotown,thoughitwaswhatshehadratherexpectedallalong;soangryattheiracceptinghermother’sinvitationafterhavingdeclinedherown,thoughatthesametimeshewouldneverhaveforgiventhemiftheyhadnotcome!
