           Thered-nosedmandidashewasdesired,andinstantlycommencedonthetoastwithfiercevoracity.

           Theappearanceofthered-nosedmanhadinducedSam,atfirstsight,tomorethanhalfsuspectthathewasthedeputy-shepherdofwhomhisestimableparenthadspoken.
