           ‘Itliesfairbeforeyounow,’saidArthur.

           ‘Fairasthissummerriver,’criedtheother,withenthusiasm,‘andbyJoveIglowwithadmirationofit,andwithardourtorunaraceinit.It’sthebestofoldworlds!Andmycalling!Thebestofoldcallings,isn’tit?’

           ‘Fullofinterestandambition,Iconceive,’saidClennam.

           ‘Todowhat?’askedClennam.
