           ‘Justso,’saidthestranger.

           MrBlandois,notatallputoutbythisomissiononthepartofthecorrespondentsofthehouseofClennamandCo.,tookhispocket-bookfromhisbreast-pocket,selectedaletterfromthatreceptacle,andhandedittoMrFlintwinch.‘Nodoubtyouarewellacquaintedwiththewriting.Perhapstheletterspeaksforitself,andrequiresnoadvice.YouareafarmorecompetentjudgeofsuchaffairsthanIam.Itismymisfortunetobe,notsomuchamanofbusiness,aswhattheworldcalls(arbitrarily)agentleman.’
