‘Stopabit,’repliedSam,suddenlyrecollectinghimself.‘Yes;there’sapairofVellingtonsagooddealworn,andapairo’lady’sshoes,innumberfive.’
‘Whatsortofshoes?’hastilyinquiredWardle,who,togetherwithMr.Pickwick,hadbeenlostinbewildermentatthesingularcatalogueofvisitors.

‘Brown.’
‘Whereof?’
‘Muggleton.

‘Hush!’saidSam.‘TheVellingtonshasgonetoDoctors’Commons.’
