           Withthesewords,Mr.PickwickgentlypressedArabella’shand,andbadeherdryhereyes,andnotdistressherhusband.Uponwhich,Arabella,whowasoneofthebestlittlecreaturesalive,putherhandkerchiefinherreticule,andbythetimeMr.Winklejoinedthem,exhibitedinfulllustrethesamebeamingsmilesandsparklingeyesthathadoriginallycaptivatedhim.

           ‘Thisisadistressingpredicamentfortheseyoungpeople,’thoughtMr.Pickwick,ashedressedhimselfnextmorning.‘I’llwalkuptoPerker’s,andconsulthimaboutthematter.’
