           Mr.Pott’sfeaturesassumedsomuchadditionalgrandeurattherecollectionofthepowerandresearchdisplayedinthelearnedeffusionsinquestion,thatsomeminuteselapsedbeforeMr.Pickwickfeltemboldenedtorenewtheconversation;atlength,astheeditor’scountenancegraduallyrelaxedintoitscustomaryexpressionofmoralsupremacy,heventuredtoresumethediscoursebyasking

           ‘Isitfairtoinquirewhatgreatobjecthasbroughtyousofarfromhome?’
