           Aileenreturnedtoherroom,decidedlytriumphantinhermoodforthemoment,andthingswentonapparentlyintheButlerhouseholdasbefore.ButthosewhoimaginethatthisdefeatpermanentlyalteredtheattitudeofButlertowardCowperwoodaremistaken.
