           ‘Mydear,’hecontinued,‘thisisanoccasion—ha—teemingwithagoodexample.Withagoodexample,myfavouriteandattachedchild—hum—toyou.’

           LittleDorrit,flutteredbyhiswords,didnotknowwhattosay,thoughhestoppedasifheexpectedhertosaysomething.
