           Heruncleandbothherauntswereinthedrawing-roomwhenFannywentdown.Totheformershewasaninterestingobject,andhesawwithpleasurethegeneraleleganceofherappearance,andherbeinginremarkablygoodlooks.Theneatnessandproprietyofherdresswasallthathewouldallowhimselftocommendinherpresence,butuponherleavingtheroomagainsoonafterwards,hespokeofherbeautywithverydecidedpraise.

           “Yes,”saidLadyBertram,“shelooksverywell.IsentChapmantoher.”
