           Thencamethetrim-hedgedfieldsoneitherhand,andtheopenroadagain.

           ‘Godsaveyou,master,’saidtheoldcottagerinathinpipingvoice;‘areyoutravellingfar?’

           ‘Yes,Sir,alongway’repliedthechild;forhergrandfatherappealedtoher.

           ‘FromLondon?’inquiredtheoldman.
