           ThetrainstoppedandHurstwoodledthewayout.Helookedwarilyaroundhim,pretendingtolookafterCarrie.Seeingnothingthatindicatedstudiedobservation,hemadehiswaytotheticketoffice.

           “ThenexttrainforMontrealleaveswhen?”heasked
