Herealso,afactwhichimpressedandevenstartledhissenseofcuriosityandawe,even—therewasnofaintesttraceofthatsexelementwhichhadcharacterizedmostofthephasesoflifetobeseenintheGreen–Davidson,andmorerecentlytheGreatNorthern.Infact,insofarashecouldremember,hadseemedtorunthroughandmotivatenearly,ifnotquiteallofthephasesoflifethathehadthusfarcontacted.Butherewasnosex—notraceofit.Nowomenwereadmittedtothisclub.
