           ‘Iwillhearanyvoiceshelikedtohear,’criedtheoldman.‘Iloveallsheloved!’

           ‘Iknowyoudo,’returnedtheschoolmaster.‘Iamcertainofit.Thinkofher;thinkofallthesorrowsandafflictionsyouhavesharedtogether;ofallthetrials,andallthepeacefulpleasures,youhavejointlyknown.’

           ‘Ido.Ido.Ithinkofnothingelse.’

           ‘Iwouldhaveyouthinkofnothingelseto-nightofnothingbutthosethingswhichwillsoftenyourheart,dearfriend,andopenittooldaffectionsandoldtimes.Itissothatshewouldspeaktoyouherself,andinhernameitisthatIspeaknow.’

           ‘Youdowelltospeaksoftly,’saidtheoldman.‘Wewillnotwakeher.Ishouldbegladtoseehereyesagain,andtoseehersmile.Thereisasmileuponheryoungfacenow,butitisfixedandchangeless.Iwouldhaveitcomeandgo.ThatshallbeinHeaven’sgoodtime.Wewillnotwakeher.
