           Thequietspot,outside,seemedtoremainthesame,savingthattherewasmusicintheair,andasoundofangels’wings.Afteratimethesisterscamethere,handinhand,andstoodamongthegraves.Andthenthedreamgrewdim,andfaded.

           Withthebrightnessandjoyofmorning,cametherenewalofyesterday’slabours,therevivalofitspleasantthoughts,therestorationofitsenergies,cheerfulness,andhope.Theyworkedgailyinorderingandarrangingtheirhousesuntilnoon,andthenwenttovisittheclergyman.

           Hewasasimple-heartedoldgentleman,ofashrinking,subduedspirit,accustomedtoretirement,andverylittleacquaintedwiththeworld,whichhehadleftmanyyearsbeforetocomeandsettleinthatplace.Hiswifehaddiedinthehouseinwhichhestilllived,andhehadlongsincelostsightofanyearthlycaresorhopesbeyondit.

           ‘Ohno,sir,’returnedNell.‘Ihavenosuchthoughts,indeed.
