           Thebrokenfiguressupportingtheburdenofthechimney-piece,thoughmutilated,werestilldistinguishableforwhattheyhadbeenfardifferentfromthedustwithoutandshowedsadlybytheemptyhearth,likecreatureswhohadoutlivedtheirkind,andmournedtheirowntooslowdecay.
