           ‘Well,mother,’saidKit,hurryingbackintothehouse,‘Ithinkmyfortune’saboutmadenow.’

           ‘Ishouldthinkitwasindeed,Kit,’rejoinedhismother.‘Sixpoundayear!Onlythink!’

           ‘Ah!’saidKit,tryingtomaintainthegravitywhichtheconsiderationofsuchasumdemanded,butgrinningwithdelightinspiteofhimself.‘There’saproperty!’
