Breakfastbeingatlengthover,MrCodlincalledthebill,andchargingthealetothecompanygenerally(apracticealsosavouringofmisanthropy)dividedthesum-totalintotwofairandequalparts,assigningonemoietytohimselfandfriend,andtheothertoNellyandhergrandfather.
