           Insideofthisbasin,whichwecalledourWaterGarden,thecoralformationsweremuchmorewonderful,andtheseaweedplantsfarmorelovelyandvividlycoloured,thaninthelagoonitself.Andthewaterwassoclearandstillthat,althoughverydeep,youcouldseetheminutestobjectatthebottom.Besidesthis,therewasaledgeofrockwhichoverhungthebasinatitsdeepestpart,fromwhichwecoulddivepleasantly,andwhereonPeterkincouldsitandseenotonlyallthewondersIhaddescribedtohim,butalsoseeJackandmecreepingamongstthemarineshrubberyatthebottom,likeasheexpressedit"twogreatwhitesea-monsters."
