Iroseinhaste,andlettingdownabucketintothesea,broughtsomeofthewateronboardandtookitdowntothecabintoexamineit;butnosoonerdidIapproachthelightthanthestrangeappearancedisappeared,andwhenIremovedthecabinlamptheluminouslightappearedagain.Iwasmuchpuzzledwiththis,andtookupalittleofthewaterinthehollowofmyhandandthenletitrunoff,whenIfoundthattheluminoussubstancewasleftbehindonmypalm.Iranwithittothelamp,butwhenIgotthereitwasgone.
