           Heresea-birdshadalighted,littlepiecesofseaweedandstraybitsofwoodhadbeenwashedup,seedsofplantshadbeencarriedbythewind,andafewlovelybladesofbrightgreenhadalreadysprungup,which,whentheydied,wouldincreasethesizeandfertilityoftheseemeraldsofOcean.Atotherplacestheseisletshadgrownapace,andwereshadedbyoneortwococoa-nuttrees,whichgrewliterallyinthesand,andwereconstantlywashedbytheoceansprayyet,asIhavebeforeremarked,theirfruitwasmostrefreshingandsweettoourtaste.

           Again,atthistimeJackandIponderedtheformationofthelargecoralislands.Wecouldnowunderstandhowthelowoneswereformed;butthelargerislandscostusmuchconsideration,yetwecouldarriveatnocertainconclusiononthesubject.

           Havingsatisfiedourcuriosity,andenjoyedourselvesduringthewholedayinourlittleboat,wereturned,somewhatwearied,andwithalratherhungry,toourbower.

           "Now,"saidJack,"asourboatanswerssowellwewillgetamastandsailmadeimmediately."

           "Sowewill!"criedPeterkinasweallassistedtodragtheboatabovehigh-watermark."We’lllightourcandleandsetaboutitthisverynight.Hurrah,myboys,pullaway!"

           Aswedraggedourboat,weobservedthatshegratedheavilyonherkeel;andasthesandswereinthisplacemingledwithbrokencoralrocks,wesawportionsofthewoodbeingscrapedoff.

           "Hallo!"criedJackonseeingthis,"thatwon’tdo.Ourkeelwillbewornoffinnotimeatthisrate."
