           “Oh,goonandkeepit,”shereplied,ratherunnerved.“There’llbeotherthings.”

           Hewonderedatthis,notknowingthepatheticfigurehehadbecomeinhereyes.Sherestrainedherselfwithdifficultyfromshowingaquaverinhervoice.
