           Mrs.Hurstwoodwasthetypeofwomanwhohaseverendeavouredtoshineandhasbeenmoreorlesschagrinedattheevidencesofsuperiorcapabilityinthisdirectionelsewhere.Herknowledgeoflifeextendedtothatlittleconventionalroundofsocietyofwhichshewasnot—butlongedtobe—amember.
