           Whathadhappenedtohim?Whywashisbrowclammywithdropsofmoisture,hiskneesshakingbeneathhim,andhissouloppressedwithacoldgloom?Wasitbecausehehadjustseenthesedreadfuleyesagain?Why,hehadlefttheSummerGardenonpurposetoseethem;thathadbeenhis“idea.”Hehadwishedtoassurehimselfthathewouldseethemoncemoreatthathouse.Thenwhywashesooverwhelmednow,havingseenthemasheexpected?justasthoughhehadnotexpectedtoseethem!Yes,theyweretheverysameeyes;andnodoubtaboutit.
