Nevertheless,asshesoondiscovered,therewereotherfactorstobeconsidered—carfare,herownpersonalexpensesinUticaandelsewhere,tosaynothingofcertainverynecessarysumstobesenttoDenvertoherhusband,whohadlittleornothingtogoonatpresent,andwho,becauseofthisverygreattragedyinthefamily,hadbeenmadeill—soillindeedthatthelettersfromFrankandJuliawerebecomingverydisturbing.Itwaspossiblethathemightnotgetwellatall.Somehelpwasnecessarythere.
