           Itwassometimebeforehesawtheladyofthewindagain.IndeednothingremarkabletookplaceinDiamond’shistoryuntilthefollowingweek.Thiswaswhathappenedthen.Diamondthehorsewantednewshoes,andDiamond’sfathertookhimoutofthestable,andwasjustgettingonhisbacktoridehimtotheforge,whenhesawhislittleboystandingbythepump,andlookingathimwistfully.Thenthecoachmantookhisfootoutofthestirrup,lefthisholdofthemaneandbridle,cameacrosstohisboy,liftedhimup,andsettinghimonthehorse’sback,toldhimtosituplikeaman.HethenledawaybothDiamondstogether.
