           DiamondhadtakenagreatdealofpainsandtroubletofindJim,andhadatlastsucceededthroughthehelpofthetallpoliceman,whowasgladtorenewhisacquaintancewiththestrangechild.Jimhadmovedhisquarters,andhadnotheardofNanny’sillnesstillsometimeaftershewastakentothehospital,wherehewastooshytogoandinquireabouther.ButwhenatlengthshewenttolivewithDiamond’sfamily,Jimwaswillingenoughtogoandseeher.
