           AyoungwomaninabluemerinodresswiththreeflouncescametothethresholdofthedoortoreceiveMonsieurBovary,whomsheledtothekitchen,wherealargefirewasblazing.Theservant’sbreakfastwasboilingbesideitinsmallpotsofallsizes.Somedampclothesweredryinginsidethechimney-corner.
