           Whenhehadbeensinkinginthispainlesswayfortwoorthreedays,sheobservedhimtobetroubledbythetickingofhiswatch—apompousgoldwatchthatmadeasgreatato-doaboutitsgoingasifnothingelsewentbutitselfandTime.
