           Clennam,whohadbeenalmostincessantlyshakinghandswithhimthroughoutthenarrative,wasremindedbythistosay,inanamazementwhicheventhepreparationhehadhadforthemaindisclosuresmootheddown,‘MydearMrPancks,thismusthavecostyouagreatsumofmoney.’
