           Butnopovertyinhim,andnocoatonhimthatneverwasthemode,andnoOldMen’sWardforhisdwelling-place,couldquenchhisdaughter’sadmiration.MrsPlornishwasasproudofherfather’stalentsasshecouldpossiblyhavebeeniftheyhadmadehimLordChancellor.ShehadasfirmabeliefinthesweetnessandproprietyofhismannersasshecouldpossiblyhavehadifhehadbeenLordChamberlain.
