           OnerelatedtotheattitudeoftheGriffithsthemselves,which,apartfromthatofGilbert,wasnotoneofoppositionorcompleteindifference,somuchasitwasafailureonthepartofSamuelGriffithsinthefirstinstanceandtheotherslargelybecauseofhimtograsptheratheranomalous,ifnotexactlylonelypositioninwhichClydewouldfindhimselfhereunlessthefamilychosetoshowhimatleastsomelittlecourtesyoradvisehimcordiallyfromtimetotime.YetSamuelGriffiths,beingalwaysverymuchpressedfortime,hadscarcelygivenClydeathoughtduringthefirstmonth,atleast.Hewashere,properlyplaced,asheheard,wouldbeproperlylookedafterinthefuturewhatmore,justnow,atleast?
