           ThedepressionresultingevenaftertwodayswasapparenttotheReverendMcMillan,whowasconcernedtoknowwhy.Morerecently,hehadbeenledtobelievebyClyde’smanner,hisvisits,ifnotthefactthatthetotalityofhispreachments,hadnotbeengreetedwithasmuchwarmthashewouldhaveliked,thatbydegreesClydewasbeingwontohisownspiritualviewpoint.Withnolittlesuccess,asithadseemedtohim,hehadcounseledClydeastothefollyofdepressionanddespair."What!WasnotthepeaceofGodwithinhisgraspandfortheasking.ToonewhosoughtGodandfoundHim,ashesurelywould,ifhesought,therecouldbenosorrow,butonlyjoy.‘HerebyknowwethatwedwellinHim,andHeinus,becauseHehathgivenusofHisspirit.’"SohepreachedorreaduntilfinallytwoweeksafterreceivingtheletterfromSondraandbecauseofthedeepdepressionintowhichhehadsunkonaccountofit,ClydewasfinallymovedtorequestofhimthathetrytoinducethewardentoallowhimtobetakentosomeothercellorroomapartfromthisroomorcellwhichseemedtoClydetobefilledwithtoomanyofhistorturedthoughts,inorderthathemighttalkwithhimandgethisadvice.AshetoldtheReverendMcMillan,hedidnotappeartobeabletosolvehistrueresponsibilityinconnectionwithallthathadsorecentlyoccurredinhislife,andbecauseofwhichheseemednottobeabletofindthatpeaceofmindofwhichMcMillantalkedsomuch.Perhaps...theremustbesomethingwrongwithhisviewpoint.
