           Ihaveanideathatsomemenarebornoutoftheirdueplace.Accidenthascastthemamidcertainsurroundings,buttheyhavealwaysanostalgiaforahometheyknownot.Theyarestrangersintheirbirthplace,andtheleafylanestheyhaveknownfromchildhoodorthepopulousstreetsinwhichtheyhaveplayed,remainbutaplaceofpassage.Theymayspendtheirwholelivesaliensamongtheirkindredandremainaloofamongtheonlyscenestheyhaveeverknown.Perhapsitisthissenseofstrangenessthatsendsmenfarandwideinthesearchforsomethingpermanent,towhichtheymayattachthemselves.Perhapssomedeep-rootedatavismurgesthewandererbacktolandswhichhisancestorsleftinthedimbeginningsofhistory.Sometimesamanhitsuponaplacetowhichhemysteriouslyfeelsthathebelongs.Hereisthehomehesought,andhewillsettleamidscenesthathehasneverseenbefore,amongmenhehasneverknown,asthoughtheywerefamiliartohimfromhisbirth.Hereatlasthefindsrest.
