LordAlbemarle,anelderlyparalyticgentleman,wasnowtheonlyadvocateofPhileasFoggleft. Thisnoblelord,whowasfastenedtohischair,wouldhavegivenhisfortunetobeabletomakethetouroftheworld,ifittooktenyears;andhebetfivethousandpoundsonPhileasFogg.
