OurlasteveningwasspentinintimateconversationwithM.Fridrikssen,withwhomIfelttheliveliestsympathy;then,afterthetalk,succeeded,forme,atanyrate,adisturbedandrestlessnight.
AtfiveinthemorningIwasawokebytheneighingandpawingoffourhorsesundermywindow.Idressedhastilyandcamedownintothestreet.Hanswasfinishingourpacking,almostasitwerewithoutmovingalimb;andyethedidhisworkcleverly.Myunclemademorenoisethanexecution,andtheguideseemedtopayverylittleattentiontohisenergeticdirections.
