           “Shehasbeenkindtothelast,Marilla.Thisletterisfromherlawyer.Shehasleftmeathousanddollarsinherwill.”

           “Gracious,ain’tthatanawfullotofmoney,”exclaimedDavy.“She’sthewomanyouandDianalitonwhenyoujumpedintothespareroombed,ain’tshe?Dianatoldmethatstory.Isthatwhysheleftyousomuch?”
