           “I’mjusttiredoutthatiswhatisthematterwithme,”shesaid,whenshethankfullyfoundherselfaloneinherownroom.Andshehonestlybelieveditwas.Butacertainlittlegushofjoy,asfromsomesecret,unknownspring,bubbledupinherheartthenextevening,whenshesawGilbertstridingdownthroughtheHauntedWoodandcrossingtheoldlogbridgewiththatfirm,quickstepofhis.SoGilbertwasnotgoingtospendthislasteveningwithRubyGillisafterall!
