Inafewminutesthesavageswereallseatedonthegroundinfrontofthebower,makingaheartymealoffacoldroastpig,severalducks,andavarietyofcoldfish,togetherwithanunlimitedsupplyofcocoa-nuts,bread-fruits,yams,taro,andplums—withallofwhichtheyseemedtobequitefamiliarandperfectlysatisfied.
Meanwhilewethree,beingthoroughlyknockedupwithourday’swork,tookagooddraughtofcocoa-nutlemonade,andthrowingourselvesonourbeds,fellfastasleep.Thesavages,itseems,followedourexample,andinhalf-an-hourthewholecampwasburiedinrepose.
