           WithmyheadfullofGeorgeBarnwell,IwasatfirstdisposedtobelievethatImusthavehadsomehandintheattackuponmysister,oratalleventsthatashernearrelation,popularlyknowntobeunderobligationstoher,Iwasamorelegitimateobjectofsuspicionthananyoneelse.Butwhen,intheclearerlightofnextmorning,Ibegantoreconsiderthematterandtohearitdiscussedaroundmeonallsides,Itookanotherviewofthecase,whichwasmorereasonable.
